    Tiger on ebay

that was my car and I was relieved it passed, as I bought it already disassembled (cat in a box) and supposedly ready for paint (not). I also only knew of a few basic things to look for. but as you say all that is needed is the proper body to pass. good for me cause I paid to much for an alger...

    Headers for Tiger?

Thanks 64, I like the idea of the used ones. Hopefully I will find a good deal. I rem back when I first got the car cat had them listed at 450.00, now looks like 5xx.00. seams like I also rem that some mods (dents) had to made to get them to fit. wonder if that is still true with the new ones.

    7K Tach

just my 2 cents most likely 6k is where the factory decided the engine would float, that can be detrimental to the engine. these days a red line or shift point is set to the peak hp of the motor. hp actually falls off after revs get over a certain point even with out damage to the engine...

    289 Ford Block

    Brake rotor minimum thickness.

in the tiger workshop manual it talks about run out (warping) being the deciding factor for replacement, not thickness. page 7 section K (brakes) under the disk heading. based on that I would have the old ones turned and rely on my my machinist to say if the surface plates are to thin.
