I am pulling my transmission from my alpine IV and need to replace my through out bearing. I do not know if the pressure plate is messed up however I might need to get a new one. I am having a hard time finding one does anyone have one or a lead on where to get it?

Have you checked Victoria British?

I know we try to stay away when possible, but sometimes they provided good parts.

Would folks mind posting more details please?

What UK supplier has the part?
For the MGB and Volvo parts, what are the specifics to locate the proper part (e.g part #, or models and years, or URLs)?

Thanks,
Mike

Pressure plate for the 8" use a 1967 or 68 MGB, the disc can be from P1800, 122, 240 Volvo but it is 8 1/2 " or use a MGA or TC or TF. The 7 1/2 disc is hard to get but a slightly smaller application would be from a 1947-51 MG, TC,TF, TD, the pressure plate I have not seen a true cross over. You may have to have it rebuilt. I will look some more and see if I can come up with a cross for that!

I pasted this from another site the 8 is the disc size, 203 was a part number. The 1 is for 1 inch and 10 spline. Sorry for the confusion.

I found two more 7 1/2" pressure plates - they both appear to be in working condition. I also found a new in the box 8" clutch disk. Check in parts for sale.

I bought my MGB HP Pressure plate from Victoria British
and the 8" Volvo disc from Sunbeam Specialties
and modified a MGB Release Bearing to fit the Beam
