One more Miata motor install

Small up-date, ......looks like everything clears and will work.

Toyanvil, In the last PIC I see a muffler mounted just in front of the axle..... that is the way I did my Commodore Blue V6. I found one that has two outlets making the dual tail pipes easy.

axle

Lotta flak here about Moser I've been there three different times and never had a problem, as to shortening axles I do the housings my self just my 2cents worth

To be truthful, I've been there four times and never had a problem. The problem came up 7500 miles later. I imagine that 90+% of their customers put less than a thousand miles on their (competition) cars, so are totally satisfied. If a bearing putzes out at 500 miles they say, "Hey - its a competition car, what do you expect?"

Brake lines done, just waiting for the line clamps to get here.

Geez, I get so jealous of your workmanship. I wish I had that talent. My youngest son does, but I sure don't. Every once in a while I turn out a part that looks really good, but it seems it never works right, so it gets tossed out, or modified to make it work properly and look ugly.

That's funny Bill I have always admired your work and wished I could do it. My stuff starts out ugly until I know it works, then I work on making it look good. I helped a friend part out an Alpine last weekend, and I was able to cut out a piece of the firewall with the brake and steering holes. I plan on using it to mock-up the Toyota Prius brake master cylinder.

Really? I can't think of anything I did that you have not done. Maybe made my "own" brake rotors, but I suspect you are too smart to do that.

I tell people that I walk a fine intellectual line with my projects. Smart enough to do it and dumb enough to try. I suspect that sometimes you simply are not dumb enough.

Brake line clamps are on and parking brake cable is routed, all tacked up and ready for final weld and powder coat. So far so good.

Mine is 51.8126 flange to flange, it is 0.1563 (5/32) more on each side then the 51.5 Datsun rear-end I have now. This centers my 205/50-15 tires on 15x7 20mm off-set wheels. I am hoping to send the axles out next week to be cut down.
