It is a V6 with staggered exhaust portsWhat casting numbers by distributor or on the heads?
Post a pic.
I believe the 6059 is just the Ford basic part number for a timing cover. It falls within the Engine Base Assembly group, 6000-6898.
The TM might be for Truck/Performance vehicle.
But the 72 does not follow Ford part number formats. 1972 would be D2. So it’s probably a casting number.

Is this a V8? If I substitute D2 for 72 I find

Mag, I took another good look at the engine and believe the exhaust ports are "not" staggered. Take a good look and you will see what I mean, the exhaut manifolds has "only" two (2) ports in the manifold, ulike the Mutt II 1974-1978 V6 engine. It looks as if the rear exhaust ports in the head are routed into one (1) outlet for the manifold. It is a V6 with staggered exhaust ports

2.0 | V6 | C | 74TM6015DA | 1970-80 | Gears | Used on many Capri in Continental Euorpe (i.e. not the UK) between 1970 and 1980. They were not exported to the USA. I'm a little suspicious of the part number that Svein Arne Hagen provided, since it indicates that it was first produced in 1974. We know that there were 2.0 liter Cologne V-6 Capris as early as 1970. There may be other earlier part numbers. |

2.4 | V6 | D | 1986-89 | Chain | We don't know much about this one. It was apparently used in some European Scorpios. It is apparently a close relative of the 2.9, with an 84mm bore. | |

POSTs 3 and 5Dan, I don’t see the pics you mention.
Is there a picture in post 1? All I see is a rectangle with a question mark in a blue square.POSTs 3 and 5
