Thanks for the tipTo check clearance I use aluminum foil balled up. Just put a ball of it on top of the carb and close the hood, it will tell you how much room you have.
I used an Edelbrock 43661 and cut it down by 1 inch. Blue matches my car. Bought from Amazon.I've converted to the 2.8 Cologne motor with a 390CFM Holley and offenhauser manifold. Does anyone know what air cleaner would fit without modifying the hood?

Thanks for the tipThis is how mine ended, I've got Dan R motor mounts. I had to get a taller filter element since the butterflies hit the top of air cleaner. I looked for a part number on the drop down air cleaner but could not find one. Believe it or not, this filter does not hit on the bonnet.
