Tiger Tom Himself told me to set the intakes at .10 and the exhaust valves at .12 (instead of.12 & .14)using a wire feeler gauge. I statically time mine at 6 degrees before TDC.My distributor has not been moved in 8 years.

i agree with al on the valves. TT told me this years ago and it works. if you were to look at the valve stems you'll find them to have a slight groove worn into them. a flat feeler guage sets on top of this groove and you get a false setting. i have drill bits that i use.

I'll agree with Al if he puts a "0" in between the decimal and the 1 on each case.
.012 and .014 are the typical numbers but .010 and .012 can work if you are careful and diligent and check the gaps periodically to prevent valve burning.
