SV heater wiring

I'm installing the original heater assembly in my SV. There's 2 wires on the blower motor. One has a ring terminal, which is for ground. Does the other wire go to the resistor that's mounted on the motor bracket? If it does, is it supposed to be soldered to the resistor?

Short answer, yes. The lead from the motor will solder generally to the terminal closest to it. There is then one lead from each side of the resistor going to the switch. When the switch is on low, the wire leading to the far side of the resistor is active so that it passes thru it and give the motor lower current. When the switch is on high, then it goes to the other wire which bypasses the resistor and give the motor full current. Place the ring terminal under one of the motor mounting bracket bolts.
