I am looking or a shifter knob for a SV. All i really need is the insert that fits in the top of the wooden knob but, as usual, I will take it which way I can get it.

If you have a wooden knob with an insert on top then you have one of the various aftermarket shift knobs offered over the years. You're probably better off trying to get an original one or checking one of our suppliers to see if they can sell you a complete new knob.
