Series I Cantrails

I’ve seen some discussion that Cantrails didn’t arrive until the SII but Plate D - Section YV and the parts list show them…Part #187, left and right.

I of course need them along with the associated brackets and spring clips.

Anybody out there with some?

Hi Bill, not sure what the difference is? I have an excellent set from my series ll. I was going to list them for sale next week. Just message me if they will work. No worries if not. Cheers Jason

Hi Jason- well, they must not work as the part numbers for SI and SII are different and they look a little different in the picture in the parts manual.

@Bill Eisinger can you post the image of the ones you are labout.
I know of 2 styles of cantrail but both for series II.. the changes iirc were the mounting clips for the B forward vertical hoop and the change in turnbuckle style where they attach to the header rail

That's odd.. maybe that's also why I have seen two types of series II cantrails... Part 187 has the note that says series I up to B9107516 ...which is a series II VIN....

Maybe it's a mistype?... And it's meant to say series II till 7516 and then they update the design.

When the road tests for the SII came out they talk about the addition of the cantrails to address the window flapping and seal on the series I..
