Ready for the V6 tunnel mod

I've got my engine pulled, cleaning the engine bay.

I've read Jim's article on the tunnel mod, but I have a question.

It seems that spreading the tunnel might be easier if you made the cut-out for the shifter first, and might actually make placing the jack easier to spreaad the tunnel.

Any comments before I get started?

Thanks,

Rich

Hi Rick,

You can do it any way you wish. There are no hard and fast rules to cutting the tunnel.

Jose is right. Whatever way works best for you. We simply cut and welded back together where we needed and never attempted to"spread" it.
