I was considering switching to negative ground to use the Petronix instead of points and found this article:

Currently, the wire from the distributor (Series IV with positive ground) is connected to the negative side of the coil and the "other wire" is connected to the positive side.
Seems like the coil wires should be just the opposite. (?)
