I did release a 81.5m.m. piston out of a 1600 engine.
It didn't have the regular stampings on top.
The letters was: FQF STD ( AE made)
Any ideas ?

Whats your question?

STD means its standard bore, all HC 1600 pistons should be the lower dish volume pistons right?

Someone somewhere else in this forum did mention about piston to avoid: China and India made. Anyone who know about this? And what brand?

AE are good pistons, there was some band name from Israel and another from Australia (Repco IIRC) that was to be avoided.
