Hello all. I’m Matt. Short story a question time. Back in the early 90s while either going to or coming from my grandparents house in PA I saw an Alpine in a garage. I called to my parents “There’s a racing Alpine in that garage”. In my mind at the time no front bumper and auxiliary lights meant race car. Dad turned around and we talked to the people. We ended up buying the car soon after and my parents drove the car home. It was painted a bright yellow. I think at least two of the wire wheels were painted white. It became determined that I was the one who was going to do something with it. I decided on a near complete tear down. I wanted to do some body work and change the color. Going by the engine compartment it had previously been (from the looks of it) Wedgewood blue. Well life happened. Some of the parts made it to other cars. We had had nearly two dozen Alpines and a pair of Tigers through they family at that point. Been to a few Tigers East/Alpines East get together a when I was very young. So sometimes people need things. Now I have decided to make some progress. Problem is, there is some conflicting things about this car. Though it’s blue in the engine compartment the color code of 19 say that it should be Moonstone. The data plate says LRX but it’s right hand drive. Plus there is SB between that and the color code and haven’t been able to find what that means. Any help would be cool. If it helps it’s a later Series 2 car #9073.
