Looking to rebuild/replace slave source ?

I see VB has a non-original replacement clutch slave $30
VB rebuild kit $9

I am able to do machine work but am looking for what is the best bang for the buck approach for a long time fix to the drippy slave.

Thank you,
Charles

I love the priming feature on the fuel pump what a gas!

Assuming you have the correct OEM type slave for your car, I'd pull it apart, clean it and verify there are no abnormalities in the bore which would result in another seal failure. I'd then rebuild it with a kit from Sunbeam Specialties.

I second the rebuild option but only if the cylinder is smooth. Super easy and cheap fix.

I bought a VB slave about 7 years ago. It worked fine for a while, but I lost the clutch one day on the highway and ultimately discovered that the problem was due to the piston going out too far and letting the fluid drain out. I pushed it back in, bled the system and was able to get home, but I rebuilt a stock one using the kit from SS and have not had any problems since. One of these days I am going to send a stock unit to White Post and have it sleeved, which should be the end of slave cylinder rebuilds.
