Heater control knob removal

I want to replace my heater control knobs. Is there a set screw on the side or what?

Nope. The later series just pull off, the early series screw on.

They are stuck good, get the channel locks and prybar

There is a small hole at the bottom of the plastic knobs. Use a small metal rod to push in the hole to release the knob.
