Sunbeam Alpine with SCCA race history needs a new home! Originally raced by George Lacy, of Miami, Florida, this Alpine raced from 1961-1966. It participated at events at Fernadina Beach, Sebring (National/Divisional event), and many other events that were so popular in Florida during that period.
It is a 1960 Series II, B9100214, a very early Series II. George Lacy special ordered this Series II from Rootes - one of the first in the country in 1960 with the new 1592cc engine. This Alpine still has some race modifications and would make a great VSCCA preservation class candidate.
It's current condition; The car has been sitting since the early 80's, however, it is very solid. The engine is complete and might simply need cleaning/change of fluids up to be running well again. The Alpine engines are very rugged. Clearly the brakes and hydralliac system will need work. It just might make a neat un-restored survivor. This is an Alpine with a special history so if you are interested please
