Several items on Ebay have some very heavy cost to the buyer.
Several of the Sunbeam folks have wondered if it possible to have some fabricated?
I have had a Metal Shop make and repair for me the past year or so and I am pleased with the work. While not a perfect match to the “originals” They are close matches for functional purposes.
I had a couple sets of the Hard Top Headliner Bows made of Stainless Steel from an original set.
All are approximate same length yet a bit different as the originals are all a bit different.
I am not trying to make money on this project. Ship a set in US for $ 8.00 to $10.00.
From an original strip, He made me a couple of the Hard Top front metal strips that “hold” the headliner. It does not have pre-drilled holes but I can mark it utilizing my original for reference purposes or you drill holes to match your Hard Top.
The "Buttons" that are for the Hard Top Quarter glass that are used to hold the glass open or closed are also made from the original set from my Hard Top. My “Originals” were I assume made of pot metal, became pitted and not cost effective to have rechromed. These are stainless steel and polished nicely. They are approximately 1" in dia and match what came on my '65 Alpine. Some of your cars have "Buttons" that vary in dia. Some are approximately 5/8".
As a result of me trying to restore a Hard Top that I recently purchased I started a search for those elusive parts that are quite scarce and even more costly, if you can find them. I have attempted to get him to create the “Trim” for the Hard Top and make some Quarter Glass Frames. No success yet!
Any one interested can contact me here through the Forum.
