Does anyone know how freely air should move through the Alpine flame trap? I have one and I want to use it, but it feels restricted.

Clean it using spray carb cleaner. It's metal gauze like early air filters. Spray into one of the openings but hold the trap so you don't get covered with the dirt coming out the other opening.
