Engine Torque specs

I am reassembling my 2.8 v6. What should I torque the main and rod bearing too? The engine is a 85 ranger v6. I think the manual for a mustang II says rods should be set around 25 ft/lbs and the mains around 65 ft/lbs. This sound correct?

Thanks,

Joe

Jim,

Thanks for the information. That is exactly what I was looking for.

I still have a lot of work to do before I'm ready to install the engine. How are the conversion kits coming? I feel like a kid anticipating Christmas!:)

Thanks,

Joe

I notice from the pictures in the link that the timing mark alignment seems to be about one click counter-clockwise. Any way to measure this exactly before reinstalling the camshaft and gear?
