Datsun alternator on the 2.8 V6

I mounted the Datsun 14231 alternator on my 2.8 and now I need to wire it. I am using an aftermarket wiring harness throughout and the Ford Duraspark electonic ignition. I am uncertain which wires go to the alternator... anyone used this internally regulated alternator? Thanks for any help!

I am pretty sure you can use the Tom W. plan for this same as the four banger conversion. As I recall there is the feed to the charge, and the 12 volt switched and the drop across a resistor or light to excite. But look at toms diagrame it is pretty easy

If you have an ammeter installed, Tom W's diagram will not allow the ammeter to read correctly. (It will charge your battery, though) There have been previous posts on this topic using the Datsun (Hitachi) alternator that you are referring to. Tom H. has the CORRECT way of installing the wiring. Search out previous threads and look for Tom H's posts.
