Con Rod Journal Diameter?

Another question re: my 65 Alpine with original 1592.

Machine shop is asking for confirmation re: standard journal diameter for connecting rods. They are getting a reading of about 2" on all and are pretty sure crank has never been turned. Can anyone provide me reassurance?

Thanks,

Kevin

My shop manual shows the 1592's con rod journal diameter as 2 inches, so it looks like your crank may never have been turned. Main bearing journals, according to the manual, are 2 1/4 inches. Hope this helps.
