Carburetor linkage for Weber conversion

Hello all,
I have this S5 with a Webber carburetor upgrade. The throttle is activated by a symphony of linkage attached one to another… The gas pedal activated a lever which activates a second lever which activates a third spring return lever. It really looks home made. There is some play between the levers which makes the gas pedal hesitate and when the spring tension is exceeded, the pedal goes to the ground without resistance. It’s pretty difficult to maintain a constant pressure on the pedal. All of this just to ask if someone would be kind enough to to share a few pictures of their cable set-up. Does anyone know if a cable can be ordered at Webber to fit with their carb?
Thank you

See attached pictures.

The usual setup for a downdraft Weber is a solid linkage with a rod with a small bend that rotates the throttle shaft on the side of the carb.

A quick browse through the gallery will probably find you some photos...

Or do an archive search and see if Jan's pictures of the lot he used to sell is still in the forum.

Also small side notes.

It's a series "V" Rootes only used numbers on the series "3" for some reasons.

And "Weber" the double BB are the BBQ's ... Always a fun way to remember :p

The linkage to the Weber should be really simple and direct. Even on the white automatic in the picture where there is an extra mechanism for the 'kick-down' it is simple. I suspect that you just have wear on the linkage. The new linkage that Alpine Innovations supply with their Weber set-up comes with rose joints and is extremely good. Make sure that the nylon/rubber bush in the mount on the bulkhead is good, these can become oval and introduce a lot of slop.

My cars are right hand drive, perhaps someone with a Weber on a left hand drive car can post photos to show the linkage!
