Trying to re seal brake MS. SV. Girdling with metal cap over the end. Circlip and push rod removed ok, but piston will not come out. Something seems to be stopping the assy beyond the piston. It all moves ok and when I push the piston in there is nothing visible or "feelable" in the bore. Compress the spring and let it go it moves quickly but thuds/stops against something solid. Top of piston at the end of the bore.
Any ides? Thanks. Chris

If you feel there is nothing in the bore stopping the piston from coming out, a blast of air from your compressor will blow the piston out with no problem. You must be hung up on a rubber seal or something. Just my thoughts.

Never mind. Got it out with a little bit of tapping the whole thing against a piece of wood on the floor.
