Alpine/Girling rear brake parts wanted Australia

I just had a phone call from John Lyne, a retired grazier who lives in Cootamundra, NSW. John has a Rapier he is restoring - and a set of Alpine wire wheels he wishes to fit to it. Apparently to do this he needs various brake parts including the backing plates. He was hoping that I knew someone wrecking/parting out an Alpine to supply these bits. Oh, he has tried John Harris in Qld and Peter Rudland in NSW but neither are able to supply the parts.

try spares galore in funtree gully in melbourne, i'd bet they have them.. just a pain to deal with though.

I'd forgotten about them. If they're still a pain to deal with, I guess Norm Withers is still running it . His son Jim at JW Classic parts is much easier to cope with
