perhaps iron head rootes motor? would like to see a photo from the other side of the engine bay.

I am almost sure it is an iron head Rootes engine. Rocker cover looks the same as on my iron head Hunter and manifolds and carb look the same as on my father's Super Minx.

Iron head rootes engine. Wild guess would be later Minx - I don't think I can see the block pads for mounting in an Arrow under the manifolds.

Shift knob appears to be for an all synch trans. Would this be a series IVa?

It would be interesting to get the engine serial number to figure out what engine.
