A question for the Miata guys

What caught my eye was the sentence: "I purchased this for a k series conversion for my Sunbeam Alpine using the ebay conversion plates ..." I don't recall ever seeing a kit for putting a Miata engine in an Alpine. Does anyone here know what the seller was talking about?

They use the Mazda RX8 transmission with adapter to the MG/Rover K series motor. The motor was used in the MGF and Lotus Elise. Must be more common in Britain.

Interesting. Thanks. I thought that was a reference to the Mazda K-series engine.

I read it as he is using a k series Honda engine with this trans and using a adapter plate to mate the two together.
