2.8l from Bronco 2

I have been lurking here and reading up on doing the v-6 conversion with the Cologne 2.8. I know the best one is the earlier version from the Mustang 2/Capri, and the later version from the Ranger/Bronco 2 doesn’t fit as well because of the different water pump. If the length of the water pump interferes with the radiator, could it still be used if I delete the fan and go with dual pusher electric fans in front of the rad? Are there others drawbacks to using the Bronco 2.8?
Thanks,
Collin

You can also blank off where the water pump goes and use an elec water pump!

Collin, The simplest solution for using the later version of the 2.8 is change the timing cover to an earlier version ( Mustang II '74-'78 and some '79 & '80's).

The Thermostat housing bolt patterns are also much different.

E-mail me and I will provide you some PIC on the difference.
