James, Perhaps I'll pay you a visit this summer and take a look.

Don't believe it could be much worst than the 2.8 or 4.0 I've been dealing with....

Location of additional header bolt

Hi Dan,

I plugged the exhaust ports with a mild steel bolt. I'm wondering whether I should drill new bolt (stud) holes where the AIR ports were, or locate a new hole between the ports like the bolt hole that is above the ports. I'm leaning toward one new bolt hole. That one should be a little easier to get access to.

For the other port, I'll have to go through the AIR port plug that I had installed.

Paul, Your new headers will have the front and back (Cylinder 1,2,5,&6) exhaust port holes already "slotted", so the drilling and tapping should match the slots....

You can utilize the header flanges for a pattern or one of the headman header flange gaskets.

Coating of Headers....

Guys, My Straight Back Headers are selling nicely. I am well pleased with the Fabricator.

I've tried continuously to keep the prices down. Finally being able to reduce them to the $675.00 figure. Hoping I can get the Fabricator to do so again due to the tremendous sales.....

A bit disappointed about a message I just received from the Fabricator that the outfit doing "Coatings" for the headers has posted a price increase:

Quote: "Performance Coatings has given a price increase effective 3/1/17 to $250.00 for either Satin or Chromex.

So anything you quote starting today needs to reflect that cost. If you have quotes out there, Performance will honor the pre 3/1/17 price for 30 days." Unquote.

The increase has a bit of a bargain in that the Chromex appears the better bargain now.

P.S. I do not share in the profits from this coating outfit.
