2.8 V6 Oil Pump Pick Up Screen

Hey, Guys:

I was trying to mount my new Melling high volume oil pump and drive rod; that part went alright, however when I started to mount the pick up screen to the oil pump (which should be for a 2.8 Ranger/Bronco ii) it looks like the bracket would mount under one of the the main cap bolts. Just does not look right.
Do I have the right pick up screen? It is supposed to go to an 83 Bronco II, which is what the pan came from.
