1967 SV starter pinion cover

Hi,

I am in need of a starter pinion cover for a 1967 Alpine. It covers the bendix pinion and spring where they protrude through the bell housing. The cover is held on by a wire clip.

Thanks,

Henry K

I do not think that the SV Alpines had a cover, at least when I got my car in 1971 it did not have one:confused: I have seen them on early Alpines.

My 66 SV has one and had it when I bought the car in 1977. They are a royal pain in the ass to put on and frequently get left off for that reason, but as far as I know, all cars had them coming from the factory.

Yep, it has one. (er "had" one, because mine is missing!) I believe that mine is an early SV and I've seen another SV without it.
