Hi livfree46,
Well there are lots and lots of very knowledgeable people on the site. Many first timers post a picture and ask some questions on the Stock section -- assuming yours is stock. Where are you located and what's your goal for your car? You can even get a lot of knowledge just poking around the site. There is a wealth of info in the articles, forum posts, and Tech Data sections.

Welcome to the Alpine world.

First for anyone to help you we need to know "what series" of Alpine you have. The cars crossed 2 series in 1963, series II and Series 3. The VIN tag in the engine bay will tell us that.

Does the car have 1/4 windows on the doors? telescopic rear shocks? Does it have twin petrol tanks in the rear wings? that will be a series 3. (there are many other differences, adjustable seats, steering column, organ accelerator pedal and more.. but the first few are less likely to have been changed/gone missing)

post some pictures of the car and some numbers.. we can help you from there.
