Here's my Early Series IV 94000766 GT BW35 Colour Code 39 that came with all of the trimmings including about twebty years of rust from neglect.

In this PIC it is showing some extensive rust in un common areas. None of which had to do with salt roads, just plain failure to protect metal.

The trunk floor was amazingly free of rust. The spare tire area was the worst spot in the trunk.

Note that in this picture the running gear is in place minus the engine and BW35 auto tranny. The rotisserrie function very well even while fully loaded with the entire Alpine.
