I cut down a Mazda RX7 rear axle out of a 1985 GSL SE I pick up for $100. It came with LSD and disc brakes. I have about $600 total into it, but I did all the work except cut the axles and re-spline them.
8.8 Explorer Axles I'm using are C Clip.GM axles are hard to cut and respline since they use a C-clip.
Thank you, it was a lot of work but fun. You just need a lathe this is what I did. https://toyanvil.smugmug.com/Sunbeam-build/1985-Mazda-XR-7-GSL-SE-rear-axle-build/thats a beautiful piece of work ! wish "I" could do it
