Could well be. It was on a SIV that was in storage for 27 years. So at least that old. Its over-sprayed with green paint
as the original owner let the kids at the local tech school paint it for him back in 1995. It would already have been 30
years old back then so an aftermarket seems likely.

As I am always curious, I did some analysis of the aftermarket starter solenoid I have that appears identical to Paul67's starter solenoid. It appears to be a decent replacement for the stock Alpine starter solenoid. It has the extra connector to support the cold weather starting circuit - the white + green wire that goes from the starter solenoid to the ignition coil. It does not have a button to manually engage the relay. The only markings on the part are "2109" + "LPC" on the mounting bracket. A web search did not have any hits, so I'm not sure if these are still available for sale.
