Dang someone out bid me and I have a V6 kit with the cars name on it.
Jim... don't make me come down there and spank you!
Ian,Jim,
You get me 50K and you can do with it what ever you want.
Ian,
Is that a $20K fine as punishment for having the audacity to modify it? I had thought of asking if I could buy it and modify it, but Jim beat me to it. It is a beautiful Car, no doubt, but I think it would be fantastic with a turbocharged V6 in it. (I can hear the groaning, weeping, wailing and knashing of teeth, all the way in Colombia)
I hope you can forgive my heatheness, for even thinking of such heresy.
Jose
Does the punishment have to be so drastic? Wouldn't a couple of days in the stocks be sufficient? I promise I won't do it any more.I think it's time to revive burning at the stake for such blasphemy!
I think car historians know the Harringtons, but I think the majority of people that are buying vintage cars as an investment in the USA, are still ignorant to Harringtons. I like the winning bidder's comment (on the nice Lemans from the auction that was televised a few months ago maybe a year ago now), when interviewed on camera said that he didn't know what he bought!
The response from my Lemans was the basically the same from USA bidders (what is it?), but I received more serious interests from European bidders. I think they appreciate & want the Harringtons.
