This is truly a wonderful car, and I'm certain Bill's easily got into it what the base price is on offer, so it's a good value. However, the market in general is *very* soft for all classic cars, particularly for less popular makes like Sunbeam (with the exception of the Tiger, of course).
Recently the original Le Mans winning car (3000 RW) sold £64,960 ($104,065) and of course that was for the very rarest of the rare with a long, well documented and remarkable pedigree. I'd consider this the absolute high-water mark for any Harrington/Le Mans-styled Sunbeams cars.
Jan Iggbom recently had his recently restored example (though admittedly not to as high a standard as this one) on offer for €19,000 ($26,499), but I'm not sure if he's even sold it yet at that price.
I'd really like to see this car go in excess of $50,000 as I believe the craftsmanship is definitely in this car to warrant it, I'm just doubtful that we'll see many takers in this market at that price. (sadly)
