Wheel weights

I am wrestling over the purchase of a new set of wheels - do I go 14" to keep the weight down vs. 15" for better tire availablility, etc.
Does anyone know what the stock steel & wire wheels weigh, or do you have one that you can weigh (with or without a tire will work if you can tell me what size the tire is).
Thanks in advance!

Once funds permit I want to have a set of stock steel centers put in 15 inch rims, cost about $85 a wheel to do it.

By my bathroom scales

Stock steel wheel 12 lb
Stock steel wheel with 165SR13 tyre and tube 34 lb.

Can't guarantee the accuracy of the scales.

Jim, I think you can do that for about 10 bucks total. The good old fashioned southern boy way, JBweld and duct tape. You could be the envy of the mountain folk.....

Thanks to everybody for contributing! A quick (unsolicited) word on using bathroom scales. They tend to be not every accurate at the low end, because afterall how many people weigh 12lbs? You will get a much more accurate reading by weighing yourself, weighing yourself again holding the item, and then doing the math.
