This Series 3 is just sadly rusting away in a field in SC. It has been sitting in this field for 20 years without a tarp or any protection. I have offered him $250 for it but only with the condition it makes it up on the car trailer without breaking in half. The guy turned down the money!! Eric, I went back and looked at it again last week. You are right- he should pay me to take it!! I think it should donate the few parts left to the Alpine world. George Coleman, I thought I had you a couple of gas tanks!

The sad part I always think of when I see one of these rusting hulks is that it was once a bright, shiny new car at one time - the pride of someone's joyful purchase - and it ran like a sewing machine. *sigh*
