Does anyone have a list of car magazine road tests for the Alpine V and the Mk. II Tiger, when they were new? I'm interested only in U.S./Canadian magazines.

These are all the road tests of Alpines and Tigers I could find. Although only two are of the SV and none of the Tiger Mk II, the others may be of interest to someone:

Road & Track: August 19, 1959. Rebirth of the Alpine. Good description, with performance data and cutaway drawings of the Series I.
The Autocar (UK): Sept. 4, 1959. Autocar Road Tests: The Sunbeam Alpine
Autosport (UK) October 23, 1959: John Bolster Tests the Sunbeam Alpine.
Sports Cars Illustrated: February 1960: Road Research Report: Sunbeam Alpine. Very detailed report.
Motor (UK): December 28, 1960: Motor Road Test: The Sunbeam ALpine. The usual very comprehensive Motor test of the Series II.
Autosport: April 21, 1961: The Harrington ALpine (Series III).
Cars Illustrated: May 1961: Big Bores for Greater Interest. Punny title, referring to the SII's extra 98cc.
Car and Driver: May 1962: Race-tuning the Sunbeam Alpine.
The Motor: March 20, 1963: Sunbeam Alpine III. Covers both convertible and GT.
Cars Illustrated: May 1963: Sunbeam With Long Legs. About the GT.
Autocar (UK): July 5, 1963: Nerus Sunbeam Alpine Mk II. Special tuning raises the top speed to 105mph and knocks a second off the 1/4 mile time.
Autocar: January 17, 1964: Brief description of the (new) Series IV.
Small Car: December 1963. A Gentleman's carriage. Series III improvements over the SII>
Autocar: April 10, 1964: Sunbeam Tiger 260. Description of the new Tiger.
Car and Driver; November 1964. Ditto.
Autocar: May 22, 1964. Series IV automatic.

These include the Series V:
British Car: April 1995: Sunbeam Alpine; the Rootes Group's Refined Answer to BMC. A good description of the origin of the marque and the different models.
Autocar: May 13, 1966. Series V.
British Car: Feb/March 2002: Five Iterations of the Sunbeam Alpine. Probably the best narrative, showing the Hillman Husky from which it sprang, and each of the subsequent models, even the Harrington, with some great photos. Even has a bit about Ian Spencer!!

And now, a road test by someone familiar:

I just bought a September 1966 "Car and Driver". It features good ol' Ken Miles comparing the Series V Alpine with 5 other roadsters of the time. There are 3 good pictures of Mr. Miles trying to push the Alpine to its limits. The Alpine finished fourth in the ratings, however it was called the best value for the money.
