What is the correct color for the convertible top header rail? My old one shows signs of a light gray, is that correct?

The header rails and the soft top frames are machienry grey.. (light grey) the seat frames on most of the cars were the same too. For a slightly non-original but classy (i think) touch i had my header rail trimmed in a grey vynil.. looks a little softer and nicer to me than the painted rail.
