First a question. My Series 2 had nylock style nuts. Is this standard or were they castellated nuts with a split pin on early cars?
Anyway, sorry, can't remember the thread, but the nylock nut is shorter than "usual", and so a non-original one may have to be turned-down to ensure that the nylon itself is actually doing its job of locking the nut..
