Wiring the rear of the car, using a Ford inertia fuel pump switch. Ford wired it so the safety switch was the last item in the circuit, "juice" goes to the pump, then to the switch, then to ground. When the switch activates, the ground is broken.
So the question becomes, "Is that necessary?" Is there anything wrong with wiring the safety switch "hot", prior to the pump? Grounding is not an issue, it is a plastic bodied switch with a wire to ground.
