Lance, did you swap the canister oil filter for the spin on or did willis? I assume you are going back to the canister, hence the need for the decals.

first time i have seen that car since 1996 in swan hill... still looks good, amazing for an unrestored but continously used car

No, the SIV would have always been a spin on filter car, the decals were going to go on one of the Hillmen. Yes, Willis did a good job in preserving the Alpine for 33 years, I've just kept it in suspended animation for the last 14........:rolleyes:

I had mistakenly thought the early round cornered SIV's ran the canister filter as per S3 but just checked and indeed they had the spin on filters,, i thought they came in around the time of the all-sync box... my bad
