Brakes

Opened up my rear drum brakes today. They don’t appear the same as the WSM shows on pages K1 12 and 13.
Looking for the manual adjustment wheel.
Shoes look fine, but need to get them moved out closer to the drum.

WSM-145, Section K2, pages 12 & 13 refer to self-adjusting rear brakes.

The pictures you posted appear to be manual-adjusting rear brakes as shown in WSM-124, Section K, page 9.

On the inside of the backing plate at the top you will see a 7/16" square bolt sticking out. that is your adjuster, by tightening it you will spread the shoes towards the drum. Always turn by hand after. adjusting to insure minimal drag.
