1967 Series V for sale

P

pw1v

1967 Sunbeam Alpine Series V. 72,000 miles. Garaged in
Columbus OH. Started as a renovation project in 1987, but lost
interest since then.

Engine rebuilt in 1987, and fewer than 500 miles added since
then. Engine runs fine. New alternator, water pump,
radiator, clutch. External electric fuel pump. Original
4-speed manual transmission, differential, dual Stromberg
carbs (recently rebuilt).

Body repainted in 1987 too. Minor rust in rocker panels was
filled and painted then; no existing rust currently. A few
minor dents and chips. Some insignia elements were never
replaced after the paint job, but are all included.

Hard top included. Convertible top frame is there, but
missing cover. Tonneau flat top included. Car cover
included. Many assorted extra parts and tools included.

New brakes, brake lines and cylinders. Rear suspension
probably should be replaced---the left side is a bit lower
than the right. New rear shocks.

Interior is basic vinyl seats and interior panels, rubber
mats, with painted metal dash. Nothing fancy.

Car has a clear title, but is not currently registered. It
may well be driveable, but has not been taken out on a long
trip for 21 years.

Thousands invested in this car already. Good project for
continued restoration.

Asking $1500. To arrange a time to come see it, call 614
247 7956 during weekday business hours, or leave a message
there. The car is located near the corner of Fishinger Rd
and Riverside Dr in northwest Columbus OH.

Brother Ken,
You should buy this one and drag it to the Invasion for some tinkering and sell it. The hardtop is worth that if it is not crusty.

When I saw this one I called and offered to buy it sight unseen. He said he had promised 2 guys that they could look at it and felt that they should have first choice. I hate that!!
You have to respect the seller though. Not everyone would do what he considered right. I did promise to buy it if his evening appointment didn't. They must have because he didn't call me back.
