1725 Usable Head?

More photos. Obviously something happened in #1 and #4. That damaged was done some time before and the head was resurfaced.

I was looking at #1 thinking piston ring or the valve face failed and smacked around the chamber .. then you see #4 .. it's like it's Photoshop... the nut is perfectly parallel imprinted into the face if the squish area... wtf!!!

I would say the head is a keeper for a day when the heads are to hard to come by .. it has meat... it has great water passages ..... but the faces of 1+4 are big fixes.... actually the damage to the edge of the chamber on 1 is probably the worst I've seen

The nut is something you left sitting on it when you took the picture, right?

I don't think there's enough left of the wear bars to skim the surface clean, especially around #1.

It looks like this head led a tortured existence. Sorry, but I'd start to look elsewhere. Decent heads aren't hugely expensive.
