Torque Confusion

I'm a little confused with the torque specs and how they are called out.

An example is for the Trunnion. There are two nuts on it and there appears to be two different torque values but it doesn't say which is for what.

The torque spec says:

Would someone help me read this?

Thanks,

Confused Ken

Looks like a Series I ?

I am not at all familiar with the early Series.

However, I will see what I can find

here is what I just found:
  • Eye bolt. Trunion to link: Lock 85 lb ft, Castled 40 lb ft
Note teh didference in terminology. Lock + 85 lb ft and the "castled' is 40

I found this in the "Torque Wrench Settings"

Thanks Dan,

Yes indeed it's a Series I. That's sort of how I interrupted it but I'd like to know where you found the "Torque Wrench Settings"?

In my "Workshop Manual" I went to the "Torque Loading Figures" for the information I sent. Is there another section?

Thanks again,

Ken

I'm now confused about the language of the Torque Wrench Settings. I can't find the same part names in the parts list. Perhaps it's a British thing.

What are they referring to with "Steering Linkage Taper Pins"? Tie Rod Ends?

And, "Swing Lever to Rocker Shaft"?

Sorry if I'm a pain but I obviously need help.

Thanks,

Ken

Steering linkage taper pins are the two fasteners that tie the cross tube to the steering arms
