Wiper Wiring

stumped on the neg. grd. rewire of the wiper motor.
oh well, it never rains in vancouver...lol

I take it that you are converting the wiring from positive earth to negative earth.

I did this to my Series IV and left the wiper wiring exactly as it was and everything worked as it should.

The wiper motors on the Alpine are a wound field motor, so when the current goes the other way, both the armature and the field reverse polarity. The upshot of this is that the motor goes the same way.
