Western Washington ABFM update

RootesRooter

Donation Time
This year's event on July 27 was scheduled to be shifted from the Bellevue College main parking lots, where new buildings are about to be constructed, to the much smaller auxilliary parking lot normally used by spectators. (Squeezing the normal 500-600 cars would have been tricky). Construction has been delayed a few weeks, so the ABFM will be in their old digs for one more year.

Next year's ABFM will be at St. Andrews State Park on grass, overlooking Lake Washington near Juanita.

Rootes turnout was lower than normal this year, as Pacific Tiger Club is holding a big all-day Sunbeam bash in a couple of weeks. There were three Tigers and a Hillman Husky on display today.

The two Sunbeam Alpines on hand were outnumbered by THREE Harringtons! Marc Stenchever broght his red LeMans, Jerry Logan brought his white, early production, "Car & Driver cover" LeMans, fresh from a 14-month display at the new LeMay car museum in Tacoma, and Buell Ish had his ultra-rare Series IV-based Harrington Alpine.
