V6 Drive Shaft

If anyone has the T-Bird driveshaft, could you measure the diameter of the shaft. I haven't had much luck trying to find one. I've found an '87 Cougar listed as an interchange, but I would like to verify the diameter is the same as the '83 - '86 T-Bird.
